The McGregor Reflecting Pool and Sculpture Garden at Wayne State University underwent a complete reconstruction. The pool and garden are part of the McGregor Memorial Conference Center designed by Minoru Yamasaki and were originally completed in 1958. 

  • Project components:
    • Removal and salvage of original design elements and materials
    • Complete replacement of pool concrete floor and sides, new filtration system, application of polyuria liner, re-installation of salvaged stone coping, and new landscaping
    • $1.65 million project value
  • Received three historic awards:
    • Michigan Governor’s Award for Historic Preservation
    • Michigan Historic Preservation Landscape Award
    • 2014 National Preservation Honor Award
