Project Portfolio
- Plymouth District Library

Improvements to the Plymouth District Library included both renovations and expansions. New space (8,800 sf) on the second floor was developed with three new dormers, a new monument staircase, two elevators and a stairway that extends to the second floor. The expanded space serves adults with a computer lab, six modular guest rooms (two person), two study rooms (4-6 persons), reference center, wireless Internet access, and restrooms. A new teen area was remodeled on the main floor and reflects the energy of that age group. Bold colors and a modern art deco theme set the mood for exploration and learning. On the lower level, the newly renovated children’s area sparkles with bright colors and floating clouds. Spaces were developed for computer use, individual reading, and group reading. Each new area is unique, colorful and inviting. All renovations / expansion occurred while the library remained open.
