  • Lake Shore Publc Schools passed a bond extension in August 2008 that generated $9.7 million to fund necessary renovations to its buildings. As a complement to the bond projects, Lake Shore will spend $3 million from its savings to support new gym construction and install synthetic turf in the high school field. The bond projects include enhancements at all K-12 schools. The main projects are new gyms at Lake Shore High School and Masonic Heights Elementary School, as well as, a reconstructed main entrance and offices at Kennedy Middle School. Other projects include new technology and playground upgrades. All projects will be completed within a three-year time span.
