McCarthy & Smith, Inc. managed the 2001 $35M Bond Issue for Garden City Public Schools. This project included four elementary schools, one junior high school, one high school, and administration building. The middle school and high school renovations included new lockers, new pool filtration systems, and extensive site work. The elementary schools received extensive renovations and asbestos abatement. The asbestos abatement included complete removal of asbestos in floors, ceilings, and insulation materials. During the abatement process, students were transferred to a nearby school within the District. This involved careful planning and implementation by McCarthy & Smith, Inc. to ensure a seamless transition.
