- City of Madison Heights Fire Station

A new fire station headquarters located within the City of Madison Heights Civic Center complex was completed in 2004. The 19,700 sf station includes three main areas: administrative, apparatus bays, and living quarters. The administrative wing includes all office functions, public spaces, and multi-use areas. The apparatus bay has five (5) vehicular bays with ten (10) overhead doors for drive-thru capabilities. The new headquarters has sleeping quarters for eleven (11) fire fighters in the living area. Project highlights include a generator that is large enough to power all critical systems and HVAC system, a resinous floor in the apparatus bay and a distinctive curved precast concrete fascia system that sets the facility apart from the rest of the buildings on the campus. As part of the fire station, a 1,000 sf training tower was constructed. The training tower has six (6) levels, and below grade structures for confined space training and a live burn room.
