Project Portfolio

In May 2002, McCarthy & Smith, Inc. was hired by Allen Park Public Schools. Our team assisted with the feasibility study, bond process and bond campaign. On March 17, 2003, the bond vote passed. Construction consisted of additions and renovations to elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. A new performing arts auditorium was constructed at the high school in partnership with the City of Allen Park. Many of the projects included asbestos abatement, which involved vacating buildings. We worked with school administration, building staff and students to ease transition into temporary facilities during abatement procedures.
